It sounded wonderful. So are you going to try a big spiral cut ham for Christmas?

God Bless You, Kristinkdunganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01939916975517211940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2284119190064991607.post-37494727827035337722007-11-24T14:25:00.000-06:002007-11-24T14:25:00.000-06:00I had to read your Thanksgiving blog aloud to my r...I had to read your Thanksgiving blog aloud to my roommate because our experience was SO similar! The $30 turkey, searching the internet for directions, and the lack of roasting pan. But overall, everything worked out. I hope you guys had a great time! I love you and you're in my prayers!Candacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01836589634878723562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2284119190064991607.post-9194402515980510882007-11-24T12:16:00.000-06:002007-11-24T12:16:00.000-06:00Congrats on a successful Thanksgiving dinner! You are a true teacher!

Your posts make my Thanksgiving "adventure" sound like a walk in the park! Normally, since game wardens must work for Thanksgiving, Kirk and Maddie and I have dinner at his grandmother's house (30 minutes away) where his parents and brother's family gather. But this year, they gathered with Kirk's sister-in-law's family in Round Rock, so we did the dinner thing here at home, just the 3 of us. It was really nice, actually, even though we didn't eat turkey. Before you yell "Foul!" (or "Fowl!"), know this: Maddie is allergic to turkey, so we had ham instead. Maddie and I did make cupcakes and decorate them to LOOK like turkeys - so maybe that counts. I didn't even have to cook dressing, because Kirk's mom brought some to us the weekend before. The closest I got to channeling Martha Stewart was cleaning off the dining room table and digging out the platter for the ham. I did cook the ham, but that was sinfully easy. A far cry from the original Thanksgiving dinner, but certainly something for which we were thankful!

Keep posting, and write me when you can!Kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03885454300002723176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2284119190064991607.post-31554171682209892952007-11-23T12:58:00.000-06:002007-11-23T12:58:00.000-06:00mmmm...muy ricommmm...muy ricomikepettengillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04386447991042275514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2284119190064991607.post-33905682301776913442007-11-22T20:56:00.000-06:002007-11-22T20:56:00.000-06:00Happy Thanksgiving my friend!
